NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Oroville intends to hold a public hearing before the.City
Council at a meeting to be held on November 20, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council chambers
located at 1735 Montgomery St., Oroville.

Project Location: 1.88 acre parcel located on the east side of 2nd Street approximately 350 feet
south of Nelson Avenue.. Section 7 T 19N R E MDB&M as shown on the Oroville, California
USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle map. APN# 031-150-031

Project Description:
The rezone request is for a Planned Development(PD)combining zone to allow a 9 unit subdivision
with parcel sizes less than 6,000 square feet in size, and lot widths less than 60 feet wide, as
currently required in the R-2 zone. The project proposes a single-family layout with and average
density of 4.8 dwelling units per acre which is within the density range of the Medium Density
Residential land use designation of 2 to 6 dwelling units per acre.
An Initial Study for environmental review has been prepared for the above project and is available
for review in the Oroville Planning Department. Based upon the information within the initial study,
the Planning Division is recommending that a mitigated Negative'declaration be adopted for the
project pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). A "mitigated negative
declaration" is a determination that a project will not have a significant impact on the environment.
Also pursuant to CEQA, a 30-day public review period was conducted on the proposed mitigated
negative declaration, and began on August 23, 2007 and ended at 5:00 p.m. on September 23,
2007.
Written comments should be submitted to-the City of Oroville'Planhing Department. The City will
review all comments, and either uphold the mitigated negative declaration or determine that an
Environmental Impact Report is required. Further information, including maps and files, may be
