He is working on a story about plastic shopping bags in the United States. As a part of the story, Mr. Shiffman will send a reporter to interview Andy Keller, the owner of ChicoBag. Mr. Shiffman told me that Andy Keller got the idea of producing and selling reusable bags when he was visiting the Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility some time ago, when he saw plastic bags flying all aver the facility. The purpose of Mr. Shiffman's call to me was to let me Know that a CNN reporter will be interviewing Andy Keller either on September 6'" or 7t'' at the Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility. He knew that could access the facility without our permission but wanted to work with us. ]n doing some research, it appears clear that our facility is not the focus of the CNN s#ory ~- They just want to use our facility as a back drop for an interview. What you are likely see in the CNN story is bunch of plastic bags from our facility in the backdrop of Andy Keller interview, which may not look good. There is little we can do about #hat. We are, however, trying to paint our facility in the best light as possible. I told Mr. Shiffman about al! our recycling efforts. I also mentioned out gas to energy project. Once again, it is doubtful that any of these will make it in their story as their focus is on plastic bags. However, we are going as far as providing some information to Andy Keller with the hope that he mentions all the good things we da at the facility. I have spoken with Mike Crump and Bill Mannel and asked them to be prepared for this visit. If I have addikional information, l will pass them along to you.
