Consider that this county does not have to voluntarily become an experiment for the state. Please respect the majority of Butte County voters who have spoken at the ballot box more than once regarding these issues and let other counties who either do not care, have not done their homework, or who are oblivious to the increase in crime, traffic accidents, child drug abuse, animal ingestion reports by vets and transient problems, that accompany such activity, take the risk. It would be prudent to wait and see the consequences of such actions on other counties and learn about the impacts before making any concessions in this highly disputed and controversial matter.
