The Delta Independent Science Board (Delta ISB) will co-host two brown bag seminars to
help inform its review on the Delta Monitoring Enterprise.
On January 4, Dr, Steve CUIberson of the Interagency Ecological Program (IEP) will
provide a brief history and overview of IEP monitoring surveys and how they are
coordinated to inform management. Following this serninar, the Delta IBB wifl moderate a
panel discussion on the silence-governance structure of IEP with Dir, Culberson, and
other invited guests.
On January 5, Ms. Karen Larsen of the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB)
will provide an update on current activities by the California Water Quality Monitoring
Council to coordinate and improve water quality monitoring and assessment. After her
seminar, the Delta ISB will moderate panel discussion on water quality monitoring with
Ms. Larsen and other invited guests,
In addition, the D,eIta iSB will:
* discuss the status of current reviews
* finalize the summary sheet on its adaptive management review
* and take any public comments on its draft water quality review, draft IEP
prospectus, and draft water supply reliability prospectus
