This letter is in regard to Levee Maintenance Area Number 5 (Zones 1, 2, 4, and 5),
Maintenance Area Number 7 {Zones 1, 2, and 3), Maintenance Area Number 13
(Zanes 1, 2, and 3) and Maintenance Area Number 16 {Zone 1).
The Department of Water Resources requires that payments be identified as current
year or prior year. Courlties having zones within the maintenance areas are required to
allocate their payments by zone number and applicable fiscal year. Also, interest
payments must be identified separately.
Pursuant to Division 6, Part 6, Chapter 4.5, Article 4, Section 12878.34 of the Water
Code, we certify that the amounts indicated below are required for the cost of operation
and maintenance of Maintenance Area Number 5 (Zones 1, 2, 4, and 5), Maintenance
Area Number 7 (Zones 1, 2, and 3), Maintenance Area Number 13 (Zones 1, 2, and 3)
and Maintenance Area Number 16 (Zone 1) during the fiscal year beginning July 1,
2011, and ending June 30, 2012.

The estimate of cost was set by the State Reclamation Board at its hearing on
April 22, 2011 in accordance with Section 12878.32 of the Water Code.
Please Hate the following quotations on the Water Code.
"In accordance with Section 12878.37 and 12878.39 of the Water Code,
the board of supervisors shall determine a rate of assessment sufficient to
cover the amount of the estimate for each area or zone making
reasonable allowance for anticipated delinquencies and al[ money raised
by such assessments shall be accounted far separately as to each area
and zone. All such money shall be transmitted by January 1st and July
1st of each year to the Department for deposit in the Water Resources
Revolving Fund."
