The Drinking Water for Schools Program provides a new source of grant funding for schools that need to improve access to, or the quality of drinking water provided to their students and staff. In addition, the funding could be used for projects that help address lead contamination issues identified through the State Water Board's new Lead Sampling of Drinking Water in Schools program. The Guidelines focus on prioritizing funding projects in schools that serve small, disadvantaged communities. NOTICE IS ADDITIONALLY HEREBY GIVEN that State Water Board staff will conduct one public workshop. Interested parties may provide oral comments on the draft Guidelines at the workshops.
