Afternoon—
I wanted to touch base with each of you to clarify the schedule for the next few board meetings. It is my
understanding that during the Oroville Spillway Incident there was talk about holding a meeting on February
21st to ratify the Emergency Declaration. Due to timing constraints, the 21st was not a viable option as the
Emergency Declaration needs to be ratified within seven days of being signed. As such, the Board elected to
hold a special meeting tomorrow, February 17th at 9:00 am, in the Board Chambers. As the Emergency
Declaration will be ratified tomorrow, there is no need to hold a special meeting on the 21st. Instead, the next
board meeting following the February 17th Special Meeting will be held on February 28th
As I mentioned yesterday, with regards to the agenda packets for tomorrow's meeting, we will not be sending
out agenda packets via courier as there is not enough time to get the agenda packets to each of your respective
district offices in time. Instead, I attached a PDF of the agenda as well as PDFs of the staff reports for the two
scheduled agenda items to the email you received from me yesterday. In case you did not receive those
attachments, I have attached them to this email as well.
With respect to the items that were on the February 14th agenda, we will be placing those items on the February
28th agenda and sending out new agenda packets next Wednesday, the 22"d. Please feel free to recycle the
agenda packet from the 14th as it is no longer needed.
