Attached please find the evening incident update, as well as a press release regarding the opening of the Neal Road
Recycling and Waste Facility to the public.These updates were also shared on the County Facebook and Twitter
accounts.
In addition, we posted information on length of use for N95 masks:
• "Rumor Control:You only need to change your mask when you can smell smoke while your mask is on.You do
NOT need to remove your mask every 8 hours. Source: California Department of Public Health."

CURRENT SITUATION .
Situation Summary: Today firefighters continued to make progress on the Camp Fire. Hand crews and dozers
have been working to implement primary and secondary control lines in steep and rugged terrain.
Firefighters have made great progress in strengthening and connecting exsisting control lines around
the fire. More resources, including a continguency of fire engines,will be staged in preparation for
increased winds over the weekend due to a Red Flag Warning. Firefighters and our utility
cooperators continue to work tirelessly to mitigate hazards and increase safety in the burn areas.
Evacuation Orders: -Established for Paradise, Magalia, Concow, -Concow
Butte Creek Canyon,and Butte Valley -Pulga
-Powellton Zone -Yankee Hill
-Lovelock Zone -Morgan Ridge
-Stirling Zone -Skyway from lower Paradise to the Chico city limits
-North Coutelenc Zone -Highway 70 from Pulga to West Branch Feather river
-North Fir Haven Zone bridge
-Nimshew Zone -All of Clark Road and all of Pentz road,south to highway
-Carnegie/Colter Zone 70, everything west to highway 99 and south to highway
-South Fir haven Zone 149 including all of Butte Valley
-South Coutelenc Zone -Shippee Road from Highway 149 to Highway 99
-North Pines Zone -East Bound Hwy 162/Oro Quincy Hwy at Forbestown Rd
-South Pines Zone east to Mountain House Road/4 Mile Ridge Road,
-Old Magalia Zone including the communities of Berry Creek, Brush Creek,
-Lower Pentz Zone Mountain House and Bloomer Hill
-Morgan Ridge Zone -Doe Mill Road south at Village Drive is closed.Santos

NEAL ROAD WASTE FACILITY OPENS TO PUBLIC WITH LIMITED HOURS
WHEN: Saturday November 17th, 2018 at 7:30 A.M.
WHERE: The Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility will open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 17, at
7:30 a.m. Neal Road will remain closed beyond the facility entrance until further notice.
Hours of Operation:
The facility will operate reduced hours Monday—Saturday, 7:30 a.m.—3 p.m.
(Closed Sundays)
NOTES: The Sunday closure is necessary due to staffing shortages as a result of the Camp Fire and
operational needs. Beginning Nov. 25, 2018,the facility expects to return to its normal
operating hours.
SAFETY MESSAGE — The public is reminded to stay vigilant on current fire conditions. Please
continue to adhere to road closures and any evacuation warnings. A reminder to drive slowly and
yield to emergency personnel in the area. There will be smoke in the respective areas as
firefighters continue firefighting operations. If at any time you feel unsafe, please call 911.
