Board of Supervisors to Consider Assigning Wayne Barley as Interim Chief Probation Officer
OROVILLE, Calif., October 31, 2018—The Butte County Board of Supervisors will consider assigning Wayne Barley, Butte
County Chief Deputy Probation Officer, as Butte County Interim Chief Probation Officer at the November 6 Board of
Supervisors Meeting.
If assigned, Barley's new role will take effect December 29, 2018, following Chief Steve Bordin's retirement. Barley has
worked in the Probation Department for 24 years and has been involved in all aspects of the Department.
