Subject: Leen Subdivision/Stanley Ave.
Dear Butte Co. Board of Supervisors,
I am writing to you to voice my concern of the proposed development TSM16-002-the 16 lot subdivision
located on Stanley Ave. In addition to the obvious concern for the retention of the 300ft agriculture setback, the
traffic issue is also of great importance. According to Butte Co. numbers of car trips per day per parcel is 10.
150-160 extra cars going up and down our street is hazardous. As it is now, when two cars pass each other, each
has a tire in the dirt shoulder of the road. This is dangerous for everyone, especially if you are walking or riding
a bike. As you know, the speed limit on Dayton Rd. @ Stanley is 45mph. With turning left off Dayton Rd.
(there is no turn lane)to get to Stanley, I have almost been rear ended many times. Additional cars and traffic
will mean additional potential for accidents. My fear is also that if these homes are built, many will have
"mother-in-law" units, increasing the traffic and population even more.
Any way you slice it, this is not an appropriate location for this project. I urge you to uphold the ruling of the
Planning Commission.
