Disaster Recovery Center FEMA announced a second Disaster Recovery Center(DRC),see attached press release. This location includes federal and state resources. There will be a table with County resources, but not County staff at the second DRC The DRC will be open Friday, Nov. 23, 1-7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 24, 9 a.m.to 7 p.m. Hours of operation for the center are from 9 a.m.to 7 p.m.,seven days a week. DRC location: 1 2140 Feather River Blvd. Oroville, CA 95965 Animals in Evacuation Zones The following statement was posted to the Butte County Facebook page about animals in evacuation zones in response to some traffic on social media concerned about the care of animals inside areas under and evacuation order. Butte County Animal Control, NVADG and Cowboy 911 are working together to care for animals in the#CampFire evacuation zones.Animals within these evacuation zones are safe. Each animal is on a feed and welfare schedule. This schedule is highly detailed and includes location, condition, feeding information, and anything applicable to the animal's health. For these animals, caring for them while they shelter in place is better than bringing them to already impacted shelters. These animals are in their own, familiar environment, which is better for their mental health. We understand that separation from animals is incredibly difficult for owners, but we also know they want what's best for their animal's overall health and well-being. Once the evacuation orders are lifted for these areas, owners will be able to access a detailed database for information on their animal and be re-united with them.
