Subject: Fracking Ban
Dear Supervisors,
The people of Butte supported you when you said you wanted to ban fracking in Butte County. I heard it
everywhere I went and I went everywhere. People of both major politic parties and independents were eager to
sign the Fracking Ban petition in Durham, Chico, Paradise and Oroville.
You are all aware that Frack Free Butte County had their petition thrown out because of facial defects? That the
will of the people to have a Fracking Ban has been thwarted by those with unlimited finances?
We depend on you to vote this Fracking Ban, ours or the one written by county counsel, into an Ordinance at
your July 29th Supervisors meeting. None of us has seen the county petition but we all hope it also includes
injection wells since we know there is a push to expand the Wild Goose facility.
Thank you so much for standing up to the undemocratic power of the Oil and Gas Industry.
