All residents north of the intersection of New York Flat Road at Lower Idlewood Circle. All residents north of the intersection of Challenge Cutoff Road at Mt. Hope Road. And all residents west of the intersection of Forbestown Road at Abernathy Road.Yuba County has been notified and is establishing an evacuation center in Oregon House, just as a precaution. An initial damage assessment completed by CalFire's Rapid Assessment Team has identified 20 residential structures and 7 other structures that were destroyed, 'though the assessment only includes properties in a portion of the fire area. These are very preliminary numbers, since the fire activity does not allow assessment of the whole fire area at this time. Numbers will change as fire activity decreases and CalFire and DDS staff are able to get further into the area. The Sheriffs Office requested assistance with notification of the property owners who lost structures, per the initial Rapid Assessment. A Notification Center will be open at 202 Mira Loma Drive,Oroville, as follows: Saturday 9/2/17—10:00-4:00 Sunday 9/3/17—10:00-2:00 Monday 9/4/17—10:00-2:00 The Notification Center will be staffed by the Sheriff's Office, DESS, Red Cross, and the Salvation Army. An assistance center will be opened next week, though we don't have details at this time. Unless there is a change in fire behavior, the EOC will be going virtual at approximately 5:00 tonight. We will all be available by phone throughout the night. We will reconvene in the EOC at 5:00 tomorrow morning. I will send another update after the 5:00 Planning Meeting at the Fairgrounds. Take care, Shari
