Good morning,
Just a quick email to let Board members know there are lots of exciting things happening at the Neal Road
Landfill. Please see attached photo log and notes below.
• Opened Module 5A for solid waste loads. We estimate this cell will provide about 10 months of solid waste
disposal. We now are in a race against time,weather, and process to get Module 5B (the next waste cell) ready
for solid waste.
* 5B excavation contract to go to BOS on 5/8/18.
* 5B Final design-Golder under contract for final cell/membrane/liner design
* Planning for module 5C excavation (2019).
• Testing of New Septage Transfer Station now underway.
• Repair of Gas Collection, Control System header on Module 4D.
• Updated computer billing systems and landfill signage, issued media release for new septage fees effective
today, 4/27/18
Current Septage transfer station plan:
• Testing continues on Friday, 4/27/18
• Canopy roof installation week of 5/1/18
• Thursday 5/3/18-on-site training with LF Supervisors, Myers Construction,Thrifty Rooter
• Friday 5/4/18-functional testing with septage.
• Monday 5/7/18-shift all septage trucks to transfer station.
