Aerial Imagery Maps of Some Burn Areas in Town of Paradise Now Available
Detailed aerial imagery maps of damaged properties in most of the burn areas in the Town of Paradise are now
available to view at www.ButteCountyRecovers.org/Maps.
Video surveys and 360 degree drone panoramas of all major roads in the Town of Paradise can also be accessed on
this webpage.
The imagery was captured by a multiagency task force of public safety drone teams at the request of the Butte
County Sheriff's Office. The agencies involved were authorized to fly in wildfire conditions under an emergency
waiver from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The purpose of this imagery is to provide valuable information to the search and recovery teams on the ground,
multiple agencies coordinating response, and to the residents of the community impacted by the Camp Fire. While
the teams tried to capture imagery for most property damage in the Town of Paradise burn areas, the map is not
comprehensive.
