Subject: Garbage pickup
Eerily similar to Obamacare, the postcard (below) from Waste Management welcoming us to their service,
(from Recology), states, "Your trash, recycling and yard waste service will remain the same with Waste
Management." Yet, the pickup is now every other week on recycling and yard waste! That is an extreme
change from every week on both, which there,was until March Vt. Our next door neighbor has been with
Waste Management for years, and has always had weekly pickup of all 3 cans. Phone calls to Waste
Management have been very unsatisfactory, as they answer most questions with I don't know".
When it was first discussed in the newspaper, the reasoning we understood was so there would be 3 fewer
trucks on each street every week with only one comipany per area. We never saw anything about fewer
pickups of recycling and yard waste.
