| would hope that the (}rovi||e City Council gives significant weight to the problems that they and their community will
have todeal with should they goahead with approval. Consultants are eager tntell you what you NEED todo. You CAN
do nothing and just say NO, asmany cities, counties and residents WISHED they had done. Please don't limit your
deciaiommaWmgtnpromised income from tax revenue. Research how other communities are suffering due tobad
decisions and unintended consequences, Here are only a few examples from people in other California communities:
"I have lowered the bar to my opposition to marijuana. I have lowered it to "please don't kill me", and in my commun, ity,
Salinas California, Monterey County, ianmnot sure anyone imlistening tothat mimimumlevel ofassurance ofsafety.
K8yoffice is across the street from a high e,nd caind;y edible manufacturing facility that mpened in 2015. During 2017,
they started cannablis oil extraction. They brought in chemicals into a business park full of offices. The City granted them
a "variance,", as the Industrial Business Park that our offices are in does not allow chemicals. My eyes sting as [1ypethis.
The butane method of extraction for cannabis oil uses multiple chemicals. Olurs may be one of the first cases in 2018 in
California, which means"in history", where the California Public Health Department has actually come in to investigate.
So far, from my perspective, it has been unsatisfactory. The place to fight is at the local community level. We fought
haird going in, and we were ignored. As far as I am concerned, you can quote me in terms of cautioning against
manufacturing facilities that use the butane method of extraction. They are dangerous to their business neighbors, Over

Another example: "Due to the necessity for high!-quality products in the aviation industry that Franklin builds for, his
shop is often inspected by federal regulators and customers, who evaluate his operation based on a risk assessment, he
said. if those 'inspectors catch wind of nearby businesses selling and processing cannabis, he said, he fears he could start
to lose customers. See: https.'//Www.theunion.com/news/seven-new-,pot-businesses-could-be-

What happens in Oroville regarding this matter will affect everyone in this County and
beyond. It's not just the environmental costs, it's the health of consumers and residents
at risk. Please see STO,PPOT-it is a trap website- http:ZZwww.stoppot.orgZ as well as
CALM https:.I/calmusa.ora for more examples of the CONSEQUENCES OF BRINGING
THIS BUSINESS TO OUR CITY.
