Dear Supervisors,
I was born and raised in Butte County, and I care very deeply about the future of Butte Creek and its surrounding
canyon. As elected officials,you have the power to use the Butte County Overlay plan to help preserve the region for
generations of County residents, and I hope you will do just that. Not many places in the world have a chance to protect
Salmon migrations,for the benefit of recreation, habitat,fire safety, and the fishing/economy, not to mention the health
of the fish themselves. Please use the overlay plan to that effect which is years in the making and has such broad
support. Please do not amend to include subdivisions as I believe they are an incorrect housing solution for that area.
Leave subdivisions for the valley, and this will result in balanced development. Generations of Butte County residents
and visitors will thank you[!
My family and I have never before written you in support(or opposition)of anything. Let that be the proof of how much
this issue means to us, all long-time voters in our district. Unfortunately, we cannot attend the meeting tomorrow but I
will be watching closely how you vote. Thank you for supporting the overlay as it currently stands.
