Subject: New Butte County Waste Agreement
Dear Butte County Board of Supervisors,
I wish to express my opposition to the new waste carrier agreement
that was negotiated for Butte County Res,idents. Ili in North
Chico and have been a satisfied customer with Recology for 14
years. Your agreement now forces me into becoming a Waste
Management customer. It is, my understanding that Waste
Management has taken:, this opportunity to increase it's profits by
cutting back on itis services.
I would expect that an agreement negotiated by my elected
representatives would be to my benefit. This is not the case and
Waste Management is clearly ending up on the winning end of this
deal. Given the option, I would return to being a Reco�logy
customer. ever,, as this option has, been removed, I am
requesting that you exercise whatever authority you have to
convince Waste Management to provide the same level of service
for the same price to which I had become accustomed to as a
Recology customer.
