Dear BOS
Over 2000 hosts throughout northern California are offering up their hearts and homes to Camp Fire victims through
Airbnb's Open Homes program.
The difference this makes cannot be overstated. As our first evacuee commented, "it's this kind of humanity that is
getting us through this difficult time." Another one of our evacuees commented, "there's just nothing out there..."
As you consider on whether to vote yes or no on the proposed STR ordinance, please keep in mind the invaluable
resource short term rentals offer during disasters.
Special thanks to Dan Breedon and Tim Snellings for their super quick response to include an emergency waiver to the
ordinance.
