Subject: Supervisorial consideration
Dear Supervisors,
It has become apparent to me that the
future recreation of Nimshew park is going to
be severely crippled if water is not restored
to Middle Butte Creek. While the pond may
be full during the rains, it dropped nearly 6 ft.
before the rainy season started and the once
beautiful waterfall is non-existant. This is a
favorite swimming spot for the people of
Butte County and suffered greatly last year
due to PG&E lining the flume, to prevent
leakage, down Nimshew road .
PG&E is having F. E. R.C. relicense
Desabla reservoir and the community is
asked to give comment. I personally have
registered the need for water to be restored
to previous Middle Butte Creek levels for the
relicensing purposes. I feel like one crying in
the wilderness and am asking that The Butte
County Supervisors stand in solidarity with
me by writing a letter to F. E. R.C . asking that
this water be restored . Please note that this
creek has never stopped during the 29 years
the Park has been under construction . Fish
and wildlife are also gone and need
restoration .
