Subject: Library funding
Dear Ms. Yamaguchi,
I understand that funding cuts are necessary, but I would like to ask that Library funding is
not cut more than other departments. I would like to ask for enough suppport to ensure
Paradise Library Funds & Oroville Library funds.
My 7 month old daughter and I enjoy their reading programs and First 5 program
immensely. Every week there are wonderful instructors and at least 20 other children at the
Paradise Library enjoying the same programs. I actually live in Oroville and drive to
Paradise just for the opportunities provided there. Oroville Library also has a great reading
program and instructors that we truly enjoy. As a former teacher I understand the
importance of reading programs & First 5. 1 value the programs so much that my daughter
and I attend both the Paradise and Oroville programs every week.
PIease keep the funding going for these valuable programs.
