Dear Supervisors:
I have a vested interest in this,vote because I am a senior living in North Chico which is laden with Seniors mobile
home parks and the most susceptible to fires due to close proximity are more likely to spread faster to ensure more
loss of lives. I want to thank Supervisor Larry Wahl for being the only one to vote for us against this second north
Chico closure,
I wonder why Maureen Kirk was absent. Does she not care enough to cast a vote?
Supervisors know this is unacceptable as the Chico City Council recently closed Station #6 on Hwy 32/East Ave.
I
This leaves the closest Fire Dept as the one on 8th St which would have to drive through college traffic on Hwy 32 and the
railroad tracks adding another 5-10 minutes to response time to any fires or traffic accidents in Northwest Chico.This could
result in loss of lives or more extensive fire damage due to delays.
Thank you for reconsidering closing our 2nd fire station.
