Subject: Library Management Team re-assignments
Hello Chair Connelly and Supervisors, last week I mentioned to Supervisors Kirk and Wahl that I will be moving the
branch librarians around among the branch libraries to strengthen the library's management team and to provide for
plan of succession. Each librarian will return to their home library with a broader view of the work of the County Library
and with the ability to step in as a leader as necessary at any branch as well as direct all branches. More important,
they'll be able to provide better service to their home communities. This will commence with the trade of the Chico
Librarian and the Oroville/Paradise Librarian this coming December X2013).
As you all well know, communities and support groups become very attached to their librarians. I have a meeting
Wednesday afternoon next week with Presidents of all of the Library Friends groups and will speak with them. After
that, this will be public knowledge. I just wanted to give all of you a head's up. My cell is 707-367-4370 if you have any
