Hello Ashley and/or Shari
I am from the Santa Rosa area and have been involved in fire related animal rescue in the last few
years worth of local fires. I have also been involved previously with our local Sheriffs Department
Search and Rescue.
I have not been involved with the Camp Fire except for following the heartbreaking stories unfolding
on social media. I am familiar with some of the people and groups from our area that are reporting
back from your area.
I see a board meeting coming up in a few days and would strongly suggest that this situation be
added somehow to the Agenda and brought to the attention of the Board of Supervisors.
Cats, possibly hundred to thousands, as reported by some eyes on the ground are dying from
starvation as you read this. Over 21 days with no food and water. This due to people's egos. THE
ANIMALS DO NOT CARE. They are programmed to survive in the elements. Unfortunately, even the
perseverance of cats cannot overcome the total devastation of what happened to their environment.
Photos, stories, videos of the current unsatisfactory animal aid are, and have been, inundating social
media.
I do not know if you can help route this note to the right people (the board of supervisors) but I feel I
have to do something, as I know if I were to come there I would not be able to stand outside the lines
and watch animals starve to death, as is currently happening.

I found the below mission statement on your website and hope it is a true statement of the Board's
Mission.
Thank You and Very Much Appreciated,
