As currently drafted the proposed Butte Creek Canyon Overlay Zone Ordinance Section 24-34.1 will severely impede any future development of this parcel. An example of such impediments is the requirement that future development areas of impervious surfaces be limited to 15%or less of the total area. impervious surfaces are roofs, parking lots,driveways, sidewalks, patios etc.While such a restriction may be in concert with residential development planning in rural settings it is entirely in conflict with general industrial development abutting our four lane artery connecting Chico and Paradise. Knife River Construction respectfully requests that its GI zoned parcel (017-260-180) be exempted from an ordinance aimed at responsibly planning residential development.
