Subject:TSM16-0002 Leen subdivision on Stanley Ave
We are residents of the Stanley Ave area who will be affected by the proposed
development TSM16-0002 Leen subdivision on Stanley Ave. We oppose the request by
the developer, Mr. Leen, to have a 150 ft. set-back versus the required 300 ft set-back
from the existing Nichol Farms walnut orchard. As registered voters we urge you to
uphold the required 300 ft set-back for several reasons. The walnut orchards harvesting
and spraying techniques will have an impact on those proposed homes that are closer
than the required set-back. The farmer has the right to conduct his business
accordingly. There are also other smaller orchards next to the proposed development
site that will be negatively impacted if the required 300 ft. set-back is ignored. The
environment will also be negatively affected by those proposed homes especially the
numerous wildlife existing along Edgar Slough. The additional traffic will negatively
affect those of us currently living in this area as well as added traffic on Dayton Road,
which is not set-up for numerous vehicles turning left onto Stanley Ave. There is a
potential for traffic to back up with possible collisions. This is our neighborhood, the
proposed 150 ft. set-back will negatively change our way of life, the wildlife and
probable problems for the farmers. Please uphold the required 300 ft. set-back. Thank
you.
Sincerely,
Rick and Wendy Clack
