The training program is funded by the California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) and is hosted by the Multi-Year Language Access Resource (MYLAR) Collaborative which is comprised of six organizations, statewide, who are committed to increasing access to victim services for all Californians. The free training seeks to strengthen victim services through increased cultural responsiveness, particularly in the Latino and Asian and Pacific Islander communities, The training is designed for organizations, and governmental agencies that serve victims of crime. In Butte County, 15.2% of the population is Latino and 4.3% of the population is Asian. With such a constituency, we hope that organizations and agencies within your jurisdiction will be able to benefit from the information provided as part of this training. The training will take place on Thursday, January 251" from 9AM-4:30PM at Oxford Suites Chico, located at 2035 Business Ln, Chico, CA 95928. There is no cost to attend the training and individuals may RSVP to attend at the following link: http://tinyuri.coiii/MYI.,AF-liextlevel. A flyer for the event is attached to this email. We are asking your office to consider sharing this opportunity with your network in order to strengthen cultural responsiveness in victim services in Butte County and the surrounding areas.
