Hi folks„
After today's BOS meeting, I'm impressed by the fact that the Butte Co. Marijuana Cultivation
Ordinance is still a fiercely contested issue. That being said, It was a pleasure to watch Larry,
Maureen & Bill artfully negotiate the divisive discussion. It takes very BIG shoulders to wrestle
this monster topic. Thank you for your willingness to lead even though the detractors were many
and the votes hotly contested. Your courage, intellect & transparency were refreshing
encouragement to me. It was clear that you three take the lead in board matters. I'm thrilled to
know I have such capable folks at the helm of County government. May your peers be encouraged
to do likewise.
Your attention to detail is humbling-results oriented. I know my threatening problem next door has
been heard. Jerry Smith has been in contact with me three times in the past 24 hours. I know my
"un-neighborly", neighbor problem is in good hands. Although unresolved, I now feel I have the
sorely needed support to move forward. Truly, I will sleep better tonight knowing this matter is
well in hand. "Thank you" to the ones who MADE this happen.
I plan to join you for the Nov. 12 meeting & will be actively recruiting friends to attend as well.
