Email received from Nancy Lueder regarding the marijuana ordinance
Sweeney, Kathleen From: Wahl, Larry Sent: Monday, January 13, 2014 8:50 AM To: Sweeney, Kathleen Subject: FW: marijuana issue From: Nancy Lueder [mailto:nan2ulol©hotmail.com] Sent: Monday, January 13, 2014 7:51 AM To: Connelly, Bill; Wahl, Larry; Lambert, Steve; Kirk, Maureen Subject: marijuana issue Honorable Board of Supervisors, I am unable to attend meetings to address you, thus this email and I do apologize for contacting you via this route and at this late date. One question to each of you: When has your doctor prescribed a pain medication to you (or any medication) and written your prescription to include whomever else in your neighborhood, county or state had a similar issue? If your ordinance is truly based on marijuana use as a MEDICAL prescription against pain (the usual request) or a medical issue, why have you not made any and all prescriptions for its use certain to a patient? This, to me, seems the easiest and most legal and most logical way to enact the use of any DRUG for MEDICAL reasons ... though why a government would want to get involved in the prescriptions issued to any given person is beyond me. It would also seem any other application of a prescription puts YOU in the seat of a physician prescribing for a multitude of citizens and lining the pockets of those who are planting the drug throughout our county and our neighborhoods. The ordinances you have written and amended and are considering amending anew have done nothing more than compromise my neighborhood, the value of my property, my personal safety, my rights and guarantees under the Constitution of these United States and this State of Confusion, er, California. Thank you for your consideration. Nancy L. Lueder 4100 Foothill Blvd. Oroville, CA 1
