Subject: Feather Falls Trail
Dear Supervisors Wahl and Kirk:
Earlier today, we received a message that large tree fell across a
pedestrian bridge on the Feather Falls Trail causing significant structural
damage which created a threat to public safety. The Forest has closed the
fi rail until further notice and will be evaluating the trail bridge tomorrow
to determine the course of action and whether the trail may be reopended.
We have prepared a news release and made various personal calls to spread
fihe information. Please feel free to pass the information along to any of
your networks.
