FEDERAL ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION
California Department of Water Resources Project No. 2100-187
NOTICE EXTENDING COMMENT PERIOD
(July 12, 2018)
On July 10, 2018, the Commission issued a notice of application {July 10 Notice)
for a request by the California Department of Water Resources for a temporary change in
recreational trail designation for the Feather River Project in Butte County, California.
The July 10 Notice required that comments, motions to intervene, and protests related to
the application be filed by August 3, 2018. To give interested parties sufficient
opportunity to comment, the due date is hereby extended to August 10, 2018.
The California Department of Water Resources originally filed its request on
July 5, 2018. However, California Department of Water Resources refiled its application
on July 10,^26 8, and the original filing was subsequently designated as "PrMll eged" in
the Commission's eLibrary system, thus making the original application unavailable to
interested parties. The Commission has received calls questioning why the original filing
is not available, so we are extending the comment deadline to ensure parties have
sufficient time to review the newly filed application and provide comments. As stated in
the July 10 Notice, the California Department of Water Resources requests-Commission
approval to temporarily re-designate portions of the Brad Freeman, Bidwell Canyon, Dan
Beebe, and Loafer Loop recreational trails to multi-use until the reopening of the
Spillway Recreation Facilities in 2019.
The deadline for filing responses on the California Department of Water
Resource's July 10, 2018 filing is extended, and comments on the application are now
due August 10, 2015.
