RE: County Service Area 34— Gridley Swimming Pool
County Service Area (CSA) 34 was established in 1968 to fund the swimming pool in Gridley.
Under the provisions of CSA 34, the County is responsible to collect revenue and administer the
CSA. Revenue includes $6.00 per parcel per year, a portion of property taxes, and gate fees
collected from those that use the swimming pool. The revenue is utilized by the County to
administer the CSA and, through a contract with the fair Association Board, maintain the swimming
pool and related facilities..
The swimming pool is failing and cannot be repaired. When the pool fails, the County and the CSA.
will have several options ranging from increasing assessments that would fund a new pool to closing
the facility. Any changes in the amount of assessment in the CSA does require a vote of the owners
and your input is essential..
The County, as the Administrator of the CSA, will hold a public meeting on March 5`h at Butte Hall
at the Gridley Fairgrounds starting promptly at 6:00 pin to assist the parcel owners in evaluating
options. Butte County is dedicated to removing barriers to accessibility and if you require
assistance,please contact my office 72 hours in advance of the meeting andarrangements will be
made to ensure you can participate.
