Dear Mr. Gosselin—
I would like to be considered for the Butte County Groundwater Pumpers Advisory Committee.As an almond
farmer in the Vina basin, I am concerned about the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act and the
implementation of a Groundwater Sustainability Plan over the four basins in Butte County.
As the 1st Vice President of the Butte County Farm Bureau and member of the organization's Water
Committee, I am well aware of the ongoing work being done by many in our county with regard to
groundwater. I am eager to see our groundwater management remain local as it has for decades and believe
that the way to that goal is through a plan that is created and executed by the people that is impacts—
groundwater pumpers.
Through the GPAC, I hope to provide the Butte County Board of Supervisors my commitment to attending
GPAC meetings, remaining concurrent on information and serving as a resource for my neighbors in the Vina
Basin,
