Subject: Update on horse seizure
Good evening all:
The post seizure hearing was held today. The person who owns the horses we removed had an attorney
present and they asked far a continuance, which we agreed to. The new date of the hearing will be December
21. There were several supporters ofthe person involved present in the room and we did request a law
enforcement presence which was provided by the DA's office. This continues to be a news story and so you
can expect to see some continuing coverage at least anti! the hearing date. We are very pleased that Brad
Stephens from the County Counsels office is so experienced in working with us on these difficult cases, he is a
great guy and a thoughtful attorney. if there is anything good about these situations it is that we have good
