Dear Chairperson Josiassen:
The U.S. Department of Agriculture granted a Secretarial disaster designation for the
county of Butte, Sutter and Yuba and the contiguous counties of Colusa, Glenn, Nevada,
Placer,Plumas, Sacramento, Sierra,Tehama, and Yolo due to agriculture losses caused by
unseasonable freeze conditions that occurred April 19, 2008, through April 20, 2008.
The Governor's Office of Emergency Services is providing the enclosed information
regarding this designation. Please inform potential applicants throughout your county of this
designation and information.
