Dear Chairperson Josiassen:
The U.S. Small Business Administration has declared the primary counties of Butte,
Monterey, and Santa Cruz and contiguous counties of Colusa, Fresno, Glenn, Kings,
Plurnas, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Sutter, Tehama, and
Yuba a disaster area. This declaration is a result of damages caused by the June 2008 Dry
Lightning Wildfires that began June 8, 2008,through August 20, 2008.
The Governor's Office of Emergency Services is providing the enclosed information
regarding this declaration. Please inform interested individuals, businesses, and city officials
within your county of this declaration and information.
