HomeMy WebLinkAboutLetter from John and Lauri Goddard regarding Special Events Ordinance When we originally met 2 years ago the concern seemed to be the cost of the actual permit. That is minor. Our concern is the other things they are asking of us. 1. Road : Bids $80,000.00-$135,000.00 Never have had a problem-Doing less events now. *Not included in cost is the required engineering 2. Septic: 4-pumps ($10,000.00+ each) Never have had a problern-D6ng less events now. Tanks —4 (no price has been given) *Not included in cost is the required engineering 3. Fire: Water tank (30,0000 gal storage) approx. $30,000.001 4. Changing the permitting on building from the permitted commercial to assembly *We built to assembly code when originally built $18,000.00 + 5. Fish and game: $2216.25 6. Use permit fee ?? 7. Impact fees? More cost to come and we can't get a real answer as to how far this is going to go. "Asked Rowland for an idea of what more they are going to ask for so we can know if it is feasible to move ahead with this. He told me he really had no idea. He proceeded to set a meeting for tomorrow with the heads of the different departments. Yesterday afternoon they cancelled. $135,000.00 d- $ 40,000.00 + $ 30,000,00 + $ 18,000,00 + 22L 6_,2-5 $225,216.25, to date. Other unknown and known fees. As you can see we, are over $225,000.00 at this point and going higher. We need a total accounting of what's left in regards to the requirements such as paving the road and forward in a list of outstanding fees that are currently owed and what is left to do. For instance the development impact fees.,.,is there ballpark amount? The road Impact is $135,000.00 from the bid we acquired Is there also more engineering fees or amounts needed for that? And It seemed ;las if the septic guys mentioned more engineering fees also, He gave us a cost of$10,000.00 for each pump(4)but also mentioned tanks. What other departments may come forward, As you can see this Is adding up to an amount that we .,are very concerned about. I would appreciate any help I can get from you. I need to put the cost together to see if we s"scan afford this. Thank you. auh From: Hickel, Rowland [mailto:rhickel@buttecounty.net] Sent. The building permit for the occupancy change notes that$2,193 is due, but [-believe:there may,also._be development Irnpacts.fe.es. To get an accurate amount, please file the attached form with the Building Div. I'm not sure what the road improvement costs are going to be. I think there are a lot of factors involved with that, including when the improvements are actually going to be made. Mr. Fossum will be the only one that can respond to that inquiry. There may also be fees for a septic permit, if the redesign proposed by your engineer is going to be followed through with. The environmental health division may be able to respond to that.
