FAX (530) 342-4138 June 19, 2008 Ms. Kimberly D. Bose P.G.&E. FERC, 888 1" Street N.E. Washington, DC 20246 Dear Ms. Bose: This letter is being written to support P.G.&E.'s DeSalba-Centerville Project Relicensing Application #803. There has been a 15 year cooperative effort to fully restore good annual runs of Spring Run Salmon to Butte Creek. Because of the support and commitment of landowners, water users, Ducks Unlimited, agencies, the Butte Creek Conservancy, and especially P.G.&E. and their employees, the annual return of the Butte Creek Salmon now happens in numbers never before believed possible. Fish return numbers are now meeting or exceeding the spawning area in Butte Creek that is available for the Spring Run Salmon. Without P.G.&E. and their Feather River water import network to supplement the natural Butte Creek summer flows, we would not have the success story that the agencies now use as a statewide model on how cooperative efforts to improve the environment can really work. Please expedite P.G.&E.'s FERC Relicensing Application for their DeSalba-Centerville Project. Their stewardship of the environment has been commendable. Sincerely, Les Heringer Manager CC: Mr. William Zemke P.G.&E. Senior License Coordinator P.O.
