Collector

It is with pleasure that I offer my personal and professional recommendation for Peggy Moak.
Ms. Moak is intelligent and highly motivated to do the best job that she can at any task. She
brings integrity, great leadership abilities, commitment, determination, and insight to all of her
professional endeavors.
I have had the privilege of working with Ms. Moak since she began her career with the County
of Butte in March 2004 (in different capacities as my responsibilities have changed) while
working in the Chief Administrative Office, and now with the Department of Employment and
Social Services.
I have enjoyed working with Ms. Moak during this period of time on numerous projects such as
preparing analysis and information needed for the County's applications for tax and revenue
anticipation notes (TRAN), participating and contributing in Butte County's labor negotiations
process, and providing analysis and recommendations to help manage the County's long-term
financial position. She thinks critically about issues and brings a balanced and thoughtful
approach to her tasks. Ms. Moak is able to apply her knowledge to every aspect of her work.
In addition to the outstanding attributes just mentioned, Ms. Moak possesses excellent
interpersonal skills. She is a strong communicator. Ms. Moak has the capacity to encourage and
inspire a team of people to achieve important goals through collaboration and commitment.
I am confident that Peggy Moak would perform well as Butte County's Interim Treasurer-Tax
Collector. I believe that she would represent the County and public's interests effectively and
appropriately.
