Paradise, Ca 95969 Council
Dear Supervisor Teeter:
The Stewardship Council has developed a Land Conservation and Conveyance Plan (LCCP)for
the Butte Creek planning unit located in Butte County that is currently owned by the Pacific Gas
and Electric Company (PG&E). As paff of this land conservation effort, PG&E will retain fee title
to 2,179 acres within the Butte Creek planning unit subject to a conservation easement to be
held by Northern California Regional Land Trust.
On February 26, 2018, the Stewardship Council will issue this draft LCCP for a 30-day public
review and comment period. The 30-day public review and comment period will be widely
announced via an e-mail sent to contacts in the Stewardship Council's database, a posting on
the Stewardship Council's web site, and an advertisement placed in your local community
paper. A notice inviting review and comment on the draft LCCP will also be sent to all
landowners on record located within one mile of the subject PG&E parcel; each affected city,
town, and water supply entity; and each affected tribe and/or co-licensee.
Enclosed is the notice of the 30-day public comment and review period for the Butte Creek
LCCP. It outlines the purpose of the LCCP, the process for providing comments, and how these
comments will be considered by the Stewardship Council.
Thank you for your interest. If you have any questions, please call me at(916) 297-6660.
Sincerely,
Jessic augherty
