We depend on water for our www.becnet.org Activities and Events communities, our thriving agricultural economy, and the abundant natural resources Environmental Advocacy that surround us. I earned my Bachelors Degree in General Biology from CSU Environmental Education Chico where I gained a deep understanding of the dependence on water that exits Groundwater Protection in every ecosystem.Our local wildlife, wild habitat, and even our surfacewater Endangered Species Faire supplies are reliant on a healthy groundwater aquifer. Mark Gailey Paige Gimbal As the Executive Director for the Butte Environmental Council (BEC) I feel that I am Saydie Alvarez uniquely qualified to represent the Environmental Community and to advise the Jane Martin Board as we implement the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). A Staff non-profit organization committed to environmental protection for more than 40 Natalie carter years, BEC has gained a reputation as a leader in Butte County. BEC is a voice for Executive Director the community, shaped by the concerns and passions of more than 600 voting Angel Gomez members. In annual surveys our members identify water as a top priority.
