1 wish to thank you and Cal- Fire for agreeing to compel the owner of the lot with an
abundance of Scotch Broom for your help. Since we had the fire that Cal- Fire
extinguished promptly, the reason for the local resident's concern about the Scotch
broom is more readily apparent.
I wish to add that after Cal -Fire left on September 10, a Jeep Cherokee, early'90's, of
an oxidized red color pulled over in the on coming lane and spent about 2 minutes
viewing the fire area. I could not get the license number of the vehicle nor the driver
as I was looking down from my residence. However, I have seen a vehicle like this
owned by one Sherry Lucas who has a teenage son, Adam, and a daughter, Danielle,
about 20.
I would request that Old Skyway have random Sheriiffs department patrol at night,
which might well prevent another fire or other problems.
