90-20 14. Juvenile Ha11 daily parental charge rate _ in
accordance with Welfare and Institutions Code
Section 903, the Auditor-Controller requests Board
approval of a Juvenile Hall Daily Parental Charge
Rate of $6.21 - action requested - APPROVE RATE AND
DIRECT THAT SPECIFIC MEDICAL OR DENTAL COSTS NOT
RECOVERABLE BY ANY OTHER MEANS BE IMPOSED ON PARENTS
OF MINORS PLACED IN JUVENILE HALL.
15. Juvenile Hall billing rate - in accordance with

90-20 20. Salary ordinance amendment -proposed as the result
of an Arbitrator's award in a grievance is an
ordinance creating the single position class of
Sheriff's evidence officer at range 42 - action
requested - WAIVE THE SECOND READING AND ADOPT
ORDINANCE 2809.
21. Salary ordinance amendment - building inspector
III -this ordinance adds one fee supported building
inspector III position to be assigned to the
Paradise area due to an increase in workload -
action requested - WAIVE THE SECOND READING AND
ADOPT ORDINANCE 2810.
22. Salary ordinance amendment - tree trimmer-climber
TT/I - a classification study recommends alignment
of these positions with road maintenance worker
classes. This ordinance changes the position of
tree trimmer-climber I to salary range 30 and tree
trimmer-climber TT to salary range 34 - action
requested - WAIVE THE SECOND READING AND ADOPT
ORDINANCE 2811.
23. Salary ordinance amendment - proposed as part of a
reorganization which substantially increases job
responsibilities for the assistant clerk to the
board position, is a reclassification to an
alternately staffed II/I position at ranges 45 and
39 respectively with funding within the department
budget - action requested - WAIVE THE FIRST READING
OF THE ORDINANCE.
24. Salary ordinance amendment - senior agricultural
biologist - this position supervises agricultural
biologist III/ II/ I positions, with an equivalent
salary range to the III position with no
differential compensation for supervisory duties.
Proposed is an increase from salary range 41 to 45
action requested - WAIVE THE FIRST READING OF THE
ORDINANCE.
25. Salary ordinance amendment - the reclassification
of purchasing and civil disaster officer to general
services administrator was previously approved by
the Board with no salary adjustment pending a review
of internal salary relationships for that class.
Proposed is a salary ordinance amendment adjusting
the salary for this position from range 56 to range
58 to be funded from within the department budget -
action requested - WAIVE THE FIRST READING OF THE
ORDINANCE.

90-20 26. Salary ordinance amendment - the salary ordinance
adds one staff services specialist, two health
education assistant II/I, and one typist clerk TT/I
positions to the Public Health Department to be
funded from Rural Health Services funds (Proposition
99 - tobacco tax) in order to implement this
program - action requested - WAIVE THE FIRST READING
OF THE ORDINANCE.
27. Salary ordinance amendment - proposed as the result
of a classification review of civil engineer
management and supervising positions is a new
classification of supervising civil engineer at
range 58, and the establishment of the chief
building inspector class at range 58, as this
division head has historically been at salary parity
with the two engineering division heads - action
requested - WAIVE THE FIRST READING OF THE
ORDINANCE.
28. Salary ordinance amendment - Risk Management - an
evaluation conducted of this function disclosed that
the duties and responsibilities performed are more
consistent with the classification of risk manager,
range 54, than administrative analyst III, range
51. The funding source is within the department
budget - action requested - WAIVE THE FIRST READING
OF THE ORDINANCE.
29. Pre-application review fees for use permits and
variances - Board resolution 85-112 adopted pre-
application review fees for use permits and
variances. The Planning Department proposes
revising the pre-application fees to reflect actual
cast - action requested - RESCIND RESOLUTION 85-112
AND ADOPT RESOLUTION 90-12 TO AMEND THE PRE-
APPLICATION REVIEW FEES.
30. Resolution proclaiming March, 1990 as "Women's

THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT; AND FIND THAT THE
