It was stated that the members of Region III had received copies of "skis proposal last Thursday and none of the members had had a chazace to read this matter prior to the meeting. They requested a .5.5% 'Increase and an .across the Board $25.00 shift differential. They are also e:adarsing the request of the registered r_urses at the hospital. Mrs, Barlow stated that this shift differential had been requested fox' the last two years; she hoped that the Board would take this request into consideration. Mrs. Jenkins stated that they will accept the 2.5% increase as offered. Mr. Rackerby said they could make a survey and have it back to the Board at the next Board meeting, concerning the pay for shift differential. He stated that at the County hospital they had to handle dangerous patients. They handle security patients. 3. Martha Tinker, Butte County Welfare Depax'tment. She stated that a number of the employees were concerned about the medical insurance. She stated that in most state agencies, the retiring employee is allowed to remain in the County insurance group, Supervisor McKillop .stated that what "these employees were requesting were to he allowed to keep the county insurance at their cost. At the present *_ime, the minute these employees leave county employment, they are without any medical coverage. Mr. Mickelson said he felt these employees should be covered.
