Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956, the Butte County Board
of Supervisors called to order a Special Meeting, jointly
sponsored by the Board of Supervisors and the Airport Land Use
Commission on Monday, April 3, 2000, at 3:31 p.m. in the Personnel
Training Room, County Administration Building, 25 County Center
Drive, Oroville. Supervisors present: Beeler, Houx, Josiassen,
Davis, and Chair Dolan. Airport Land Use Commissioners present:
Norm Rosene, Brian Baldridge, Don wallrich, Fred Gerst, Robert
Grierson, Terry Hodges, Nina Lambert, Jim Causey; and John
Papadakis (seated in the audience). Airport Land Use
Commissioners not present: Art Hatley. Also present: John S.
Blacklock, Chief Administrative Officer; Susan Minasian, County
Counsel; Neil McCabe, Assistant County Counsel; Tom Parilo,
Director-Development Services; Paula Leisure, Principal Planner;
and Marion Reeves, Assistant Clerk of the Board.

00-107 Discussion of Topics of Mutual Concern to the Board of Supervisors
and the Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) - action requested -
FOR DISCUSSION ONLY, BOARD ACTION NOT REQUESTED.
1. Time line and expectations regarding the Comprehensive Land
Use Plan (CLUP) updates;
2. Clarification of the status and plans of the annual update
process;
3. Issues related to signage in the vicinity of the Chico
Municipal Airport;
4. Discussion regarding requirements for an override of an ALUC
decision, including clarification of the term "Governing
Body" of Butte County;
5. Oroville Airport - discussion relating to processing of a
use permit application for a proposed mobile home park near
the Oroville airport; and
6. Discussion regarding ALUC staffing issues.
