MINUTES -APRIL 7, 2011
Called to order at 10:02 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room, County Administration Building, 25
County Center Drive, Oroville. Supervisors present: Connelly, Kirk, Yamaguchi, and Chair Lambert.
Supervisor Wahl was absent. Also present: Paul Hahn, Chief Administrative Officer; Bruce Alpert,
County Counsel; and Kathleen Moghannam, Assistant Clerk of the Board.

1107-001 Resolution RatifyinE Proclamation of a Local Disaster and RequestinE the Governor of California
Pursue a Presidential Declaration of Disaster - On April 1, 2011, Butte County's Chief Administrative
Officer declared a local emergency as a result of high wind, heavy snow and torrential rain. In
accordance with the California Emergency Services Act Section 8630(b), the governing body must
ratify the declared emergency within 7 days for it to remain in effect. Additionally, the Emergency
Services Officer submits a request to the Board requesting the Governor proclaim a State of
Emergency and pursue a Presidential Declaration of Disaster for Butte County -action requested -
ADOPT RESOUTION NO. 11-025 AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN. (Administration)
MOTION: I MOVE TO ADOPT THE RESOUTION AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN.
