DAVIS, 5th District April 14, 2000 Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956, the Butte County Board of Supervisors called to order a Special Meeting of the Board in the Board of Supervisors Room, County Administration Building, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville. Supervisors present: Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis, and Chair Dolan. Also present: John S. Blacklock, Chief Administrative Officer; Neil McCabe, Assistant County Counsel; and Marion Reeves, Assistant Clerk of the Board. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. Consent Agenda NO ITEMS Regular Agenda 00-131 Consideration of an Urgency Ordinance Prohibiting Use of Specified County Highways by Commercial Vehicles Exceeding a Gross weight of 14,000 Pounds and Establishing Speed Limit - the Department of Public works proposes adoption of an urgency ordinance prohibiting use of Hamilton Nord Cana Highway, Wilson Landing Road and Meridian Road (from Wilson Landing Road to Highway 32) by commercial vehicles exceeding 14,000 pounds; and establishing a 35 mile per hour speed limit on Wilson Landing Road. The purpose of the ordinance is to prevent damage and safety problems which may otherwise result from use of these roads by numerous heavy trucks in connection with construction of the Hamilton City Pumping Plant Fish Screen Improvement Project currently scheduled to begin on or about April 15, 2000 - action requested - ADOPT URGENCY ORDINANCE (4 /5 vote required) AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN. (38) MOTION: I MOVE TO ADOPT URGENCY ORDINANCE 3599 AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN. Director- Personnel; 8. Director-Public Health; 9. Director-Public works; 10. Director-water and Resource Conservation; 11. Director-welfare; and 12. Health Officer. (1059) RECONVENE: the Board reconvened at 5:01 p.m. from a closed session conference for consideration of public employee performance evaluations pursuant to Government Code Section 54957: 1.
