87-272 Discussion by Board of Supervisors and direction to staff on filling
the vacancy far the position of County Counsel, (COUNTY COUNSEL
TENDERED HIS RESIGNATION AT THIS TIME.}
SUPERVISOR McLAUGHLIN PRESENT AT THIS TIME.
CLOSED SESSION: The Board recessed at 1.;42 a.m. to hold a closed
session on a personnel matter to discuss the process
far filling the vacancy and appointing County
Counsel.
RECONVENE: The Board reconvened at 2:48 p.m. following a closed
session on a personnel matter. (SEE MINUTE ORDER 87-
273.}
87-273 Discussion by Board of Supervisors and direction to staff on filling
the vacancy for the position of County Counsel.
MOTION: MOVE TO GO THROUGH THE RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE FOR COUNTY
COUNSEL; SET THE SALARY AT $64,444 AND ASK COUNTY COUNSEL
AND CHIEF ADMINTSTRATTVE OFFICER TO EXPLORE TEMPORARY
FILLING OF THE POSITION TO GET US THROUGH THE INTERIM.
