Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956 the Butte County Board
of Supervisors hereby called to order at 9:06 a.m., a Special
Meeting in the Board of Supervisors Room, County Administration
Building, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville. Supervisors present:
Connelly, Josiassen, Yamaguchi, Kirk and Chair Dolan. Also
present: Paul McIntosh, Chief Administrative Officer, Bruce
Alpert, County Counsel and Kathleen Moghannam, Associate Clerk of
the Board.

CONSENT AGENDA ( NO I t ems )
REGULAR AGENDA
0711-001 Proclamation of Existence of a Local Emergency - approval is
requested for a proclamation declaring a local emergency due to
the Honey Run Fire located in the Butte Creek Canyon/Skyway Area
- action requested - RATIFY PROCLAMATION AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR
TO SIGN.
REPORT BY JOHN GULSERIAN, BUTTE COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES
OFFICER AND FIRE CHIEF HENRI BRACHAIS ON THE FIRE. THE
CHIEF REPORTED THAT THE FIRE BURNED 680 ACRES. NO HOMES
WERE DESTROYED OR DAMAGED. THE REPORT INCLUDED INFORMATION
ON THE CLOSURE OF HONEY RUN ROAD IN CHICO AND THE SKYWAY
DURING THE FIRE OPERATIONS. BOTH ROADS ARE NOW OPEN.
CHIEF BRACHAIS REPORTED THAT ALTHOUGH THE FIRE IS NO LONGER
BURNING THE DEPARTMENT WILL MONITOR THE AREA FOR HOT SPOTS.
MOTION: I MOVE TO RATIFY PROCLAMATION BY RESOLUTION 07-101 AND AUTHORIZE
THE CHAIR TO SIGN.
